Hello everyone, hope you're all doing okay?
As you all know I had my first Glossy Box a couple of weeks ago - if you don't know what Glossy Box is, it is a £10 per month subscription in which you get 5 high end products every month which are of course different each month. If you check out my Glossy Box Youtube Video you will see what I had inside http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfT4_owoMsI
Obviously, the reason why I started my blog with the Glossy Box is because I recieved Batiste Original in 50ml. There has been many diagreements and upsets about recieveing Batiste in the Glossy Box because Bastiste isn't a high end product because you can get it for £1-3 depending on where you go. But I didn't mind because I had never tried Batiste before because I always forgot about buying it when visiting Boots. Before recieving Batiste I was using the NEW TRESemme Instand Refresh Waterless Foam Shampoo, I got it on offer from Asda a while back.
TRESemme states that " there is no need to miss a fresh look and feel even when you skip a shampoo. TRESemmé Instant Refresh Waterless Foam Shampoo is the perfect solution to cleanse & replenish hair without water. The unique formula with aloe vera, revitalises your hair by removing oil, impurities and odour while moisturising dry lengths and ends. Waterless Foam Shampoo transforms dry, frizz prone hair into fresh hair that is clean, smooth and shiny".
To be honest I strongly disagree with the description given. I first used the foam shampoo when my hair was fairly greesy and it made it look horrible and much worse, but I thought it would have been because my hair was a little greesy so maybe it was best to use it just before it starts to get in that condition. So, of course I tried doing that instead but the same thing happened. Before I put the foam shampoo on my hair it wasn't greesy but give it a few more hours and it might have been starting to get into that mess, but as soon as I put the foam shampoo into my hair and blow dried and styled it as normal like it said on the bottle, my hair looked horrible. It looked incredibly greesy, I have never seen my hair that bad before. However, the smell is quite nice, the common smell that TRESemme seems to use on all their products.
Then I came across Batiste, and I have to say it is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It is AMAZING!! Batiste has come in a number of scents, my favourite has got to be the Original Batiste which is a gorgous citrus fragrance which is very refreshing, and Batiste Tropical which smells of yummy coconut. Batiste does exactly what it says on the bottle. Naturally, I need to wash my hair every two days as I do get gressy hair rather quickly but because of Batiste I can get away without washing my hair for up to a week. Even after three days my hair still looks and feels clean, its amazing. After 4-5 days however, my hair does feel a little powdery because I have been using Batiste a few times but nothing a little bit of hair serum can't fix. Unlike TRESemme, Batiste is a spray and not a foam so you're hair doesn't get wet, as soon as you spray it into your hair you massage into the roots and it gives you a lot of volume and then you can curl or straighten straight away. It's very easy!!!
So, if you want to have gorgeous fresh hair for longer then buy Batiste. Batiste is available in most drugstores like Boots and Superdrug, but it is even available at Poundland etc.
